My name is Gary Crandall. I am the owner of Wildcut Printmaking. I am a gardener and printmaker living in Martinez, California. I currently work primarily with linoleum blocks – specifically reduction printmaking. This process involves printing successive layers, carving a bit more from the block between each color change.

My favorite subject matter is the intersection of man and nature. I call my current series “Farm Hands”. Growing Food is itself a creative process. The view of the hands harvesting produce is unique to the gardener or fieldworker. I believe it’s important for people to remember the human element involved in bringing food to their plates.
